Pentax NOCTA

Asahi Pentax introduces the NOCTA camera which was capable of recording infrared images in total darkness. It used 35mm Kodak high speed infrared film, had a permanently mounted 300mm lens and the infrared illumination came from two infrared emitters located on either side of the camera. The rage of the camera (illumination distance) was said to be 91 metres (300 feet). (1966)
